Dreadlocks Society is expanding across Adelaide, with opportunities in our welcoming brick-and-mortar salons in Highbury, Oaklands Park, Glenelg, Victor Harbour and Murray Bridge,  as well as through our mobile network across SA.

You’ll need:

  • Your own ABN

  • Your own Public Liability Insurance

  • Portfolio of previous work or social media showcasing your styles

  • A reliable and professional attitude

  • Availability for mobile, in-salon, or both

Aspiring Dread Artists Seeking Mentorship

You’ll need:

  • A love for natural hair, style, and cultural expression

  • A willingness to learn and grow

  • Availability for hands-on training

  • A commitment to follow salon standards and values

Whether you're experienced or just starting out, what matters most is your passion, energy, and alignment with our mission.

Whether you're a qualified loctician or braid artist, or an aspiring loctician just starting out, having the right insurance is a key step in joining the Dreadlocks Society mentorship program.

As you begin working with clients—whether independently or through Dreadlocks Society—Hair & Beauty Liability Insurance helps protect you, your clients, and the integrity of your craft.

Your policy should include:

  • Public & Product Liability (typically $10 M–$20 M)

  • Treatment Risk Cover (for any adverse reactions or treatment-related incidents)

  • Professional Indemnity Insurance (especially important for advice or hands-on work
